Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, explains why he decided to publish thousands of secret US military files on the war in Afghanistan. These leaked documents record some 90,000 incidents and intelligence reports during 2004-2009, which the UK Guardian describes as painting "a devastating portrait of the failing war in Afghanistan."
